Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are 100 days away from seeing Avengers: Doomsday in theaters. With that time frame alone, you can play these Marvel games to keep yourself busy while the clock continues to run its course.

What happens when a beloved plastic construction toy company teams up with both Marvel and British game studio Traveller’s Tales? You get an amazing assortment of LEGO Marvel video games. With gameplay similar to past LEGO Video Game titles, filled with puzzle-solving, open-world interaction, and beat-em-ups, it also allows players to make team-ups never before seen on the big screen, television, and even in comic books. Who would’ve thought to see X-Men’s Cyclops teaming up with Iron Man’s War Machine?
Marvel Rivals
Platform: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, PC
Fans of hero shooters such as Overwatch and Apex Legends were in for a treat when the famed comic book industry joined the genre itself. Marvel Rivals from Chinese studio NetEase Games takes players into a 6v6 objective third-person brawl. Choosing between three class roles: Vanguard (Tank) Duelist (Damage/DPS), and Strategist (Support), a total of 53 playable characters (and more along the way with upcoming seasons) can be yours to choose from to win a best of 2 to three matches. Don’t be surprised: close to the Doomsday release, an in-game event might let players get rewarded with new skins and/or unlock emotes to celebrate the film’s release this December.
MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics
Platform: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC
When arcades dominated the public domain, Capcom entered the scene with Street Fighter in 1987, changing the fighting game genre forever. However, beginning in 94, they entered the Marvel genre with X-Men: Children of the Atom, and then the rest was history. In this seven-arcade collection, players can fight with and against classic Marvel and Capcom characters. Chun-Li teaming up with or against Psylocke? Check. Mega Man vs. Doctor Doom? You got it. BB. Hood vs. Shuma-Gorath? Heck, sure!
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls
Platform: PlayStation 5 and PC
Even with the release of the MARVEL vs. CAPCOM series leaving its legacy in the Fighting Game Community, only the older titles seem to hold up, such as the second and third installments. MVC Infinite was released in 2017, but even with its gameplay and mixed reviews, it was divisive whether to play it still or leave the game alone. This worried fans for a while until another Japanese studio, Arc System Works, came out of left field with their own Marvel fighting game. With its unique manga-style art direction and a four-vs-four fighting system, players use a tag-based system, mixing fighters such as Captain America and Penni Parker, to find the advantages that win matches.
Insomniac’s Marvel Series (Spider-Man**, Miles Morales**, Spider-Man 2*, and Wolverine*)

The studio behind the Spyro Trilogy, Ratchet & Clank, Resistance, and Sunset Overdrive first entered the Marvel Spider-Man series in 2018. Since then, the superhero action-adventure series has let players relive the original Spider-Man 2 on the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube, with its open-world design and unique story. But why stop at Spider-Man?
Insomniac wanted to expand its universe with the upcoming Marvel’s Wolverine game (set to release next week on the 15th!). This lets players control Logan as he teams up with Jean Grey, Sabretooth, and Mystique to save abducted mutants from Bolivar Trask. Expect high-octane gameplay as you fight against Sentinels in Telambang to The Hand in Japan.
