SHIFT UP’s stylish action game has been turning heads since its 2024 debut, and not just because of protagonist EVE’s eye-catching design (though let’s be real, that didn’t hurt). Between its razor-sharp combat mechanics and gorgeously bleak sci-fi world, Stellar Blade managed to carve out a dedicated fanbase on PlayStation 5 before making the jump to PC in mid-2025. Now, it looks like Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2 players might finally get their turn.
Financial reports hint at platform expansion
During this week’s financial briefing, the South Korean developer dropped some intriguing breadcrumbs about the game’s future. While discussing Q4 2025 and 2026 projections, SHIFT UP confirmed they’re “considering expansion to other platforms” to make Stellar Blade accessible to more players. Given that the game already exists on PS5 and PC, the math isn’t particularly complicated here—Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 are the obvious candidates.
“We anticipate that Stellar Blade’s popularity will continue,” the company stated. “To further enhance brand recognition and drive sales, we plan to carry out various promotional activities and are considering expansion to other platforms to make it accessible to more players.”
The PC version has maintained steady sales throughout Q3, while the PS5 original continues attracting new players. SHIFT UP also mentioned seasonal promotions during the holiday period, which should help the game reach an even wider audience. It’s worth noting that back in June 2025, reports surfaced about SHIFT UP receiving a Nintendo Switch 2 dev kit, though the studio played it coy at the time, saying they were “reviewing various possibilities internally.”
What this means for Xbox and Nintendo fans
Here’s the reality check: SHIFT UP never explicitly name-dropped Xbox or Switch 2 during the presentation, so tempering expectations is probably wise. However, the writing on the wall seems pretty clear. With over 3 million copies sold across PS5 and PC, there’s obvious demand for EVE’s post-apocalyptic adventures, and leaving potential players on other platforms seems like leaving money on the table.
For Xbox players who’ve watched this exclusive from the sidelines, this could finally be their chance to experience what the hype’s about. As for Switch 2 owners, the prospect of portable Stellar Blade is genuinely exciting, assuming the hardware can handle the game’s visual ambitions.

The franchise is just getting started
While fans wait for potential platform announcements, SHIFT UP isn’t sitting idle. The original game continues receiving free content updates, including new outfits for EVE and additional missions. More significantly, a full-fledged sequel is already in development as part of the studio’s efforts to establish Stellar Blade as a lasting IP in the gaming landscape.
Details about Stellar Blade 2 remain scarce, but director Kim Hyung-tae has promised “a broader world vision and improved gameplay.” He’s also boldly predicted the sequel will surpass the original’s success. Whether that sequel launches as a multi-platform title from day one remains pure speculation, but given the direction SHIFT UP seems to be heading, it wouldn’t be surprising.
The bottom line? Stellar Blade’s journey is far from over, and more players across different platforms will likely get to experience it sooner rather than later. Just don’t expect official confirmation until SHIFT UP is ready to make it official.
