The fusion of K-pop and anime is about to get a whole lot more interesting. HYBE’s Dark Moon: The Blood Altar has officially dropped its full promotional trailer, and fans finally have a release date to mark on their calendars: January 10, 2026. The series will premiere on Tokyo MX and other Japanese networks, bringing the popular webtoon to animated life.
What makes this adaptation particularly exciting is the musical involvement of ENHYPEN, the K-pop group that inspired the story in the first place. The trailer showcases “One In A Billion (Japanese Ver.)” as the opening theme, while the group will also perform two ending tracks: “CRIMINAL LOVE” and “Fatal Trouble.” Having the artists behind the original concept handle the entire musical identity of the show adds an authentic layer that fans of both mediums will appreciate.
Fresh voices join the cast
The voice acting lineup continues to expand with notable talent from the industry. Taihi Kimura, known for his role as Albert in Silent Witch, will voice Khan. Shouya Chiba, who brought Tahomaru to life in Dororo, takes on the character of Tahel. Meanwhile, Hayato Doujima steps in as Najak, and Shouhei Komatsu, recognized for his work as Land in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, will portray Enzy.

Studio TROYCA is handling the animation, with a solid creative team at the helm. Shouko Shiga, who served as episode director for Stars Align, is directing the series. Touko Machida, known for Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor, is managing the series composition. Character design falls to Masami Inomata, while Naoki Chiba composes the music.
