Treyarch just dropped details on what’s coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies mode during Season 2, and honestly, it’s looking pretty stacked.
Just a week after the Reloaded update for Season 1, the studio is already teasing what February 20th will bring, along with the mid-season Season 02 Reloaded drop, and Zombies fans should be paying attention.
The studio behind Black Ops is making it clear they’re in this for the long haul. Astra Malorum, which launched December 4th, is apparently just the first of five round-based Zombies maps they’ve got planned.

That means more survival maps, weekly challenges, and fresh game modes are on the way. Translation: the Zombies grind isn’t stopping anytime soon.
Mars gets its own survival map and fresh weapons
Remember that Mars temple combat zone from Astra Malorum? It’s getting its own standalone experience. Mars Survival drops February 20th with rewards inspired by Catharsis, so if you’ve been grinding that content, this should feel familiar.
But the real juice here is the weapon lineup, the LGM-1 Wonder Weapon, Sturmwolft 45 SMG, and Hawker HX Sniper Rifle are all hitting the arsenal. Whether you’re looking for raw firepower or something with a bit more finesse, Season 2’s got options.
Cursed survival and starting room test your skills
Here’s where things get interesting. Treyarch’s introducing two new modes that basically strip away your comfort zone.
Cursed Survival throws you back to Black Ops 3’s scoring system, you’ll start with just a pistol and a stripped-down interface, but here’s the twist: all relics are unlocked from the jump. It’ll be available on Vandorn Farm, Exit 115, Zarya Cosmodrome, and Mars, with more maps coming later. The payoff? Massive XP bonuses, extra GobbleGums, and a relic-themed cosmetic item.
Then there’s Starting Room, which is exactly what it sounds like. You’re locked in the spawn areas of either Ashes of the Damned or Astra Malorum with only whatever resources are in that zone.

No running around the map, no pack-a-punching across the level, just you, the starting room, and waves of undead. Survival is the only objective, and it’s going to get messy.
The Zombies storyline isn’t taking a break either. Season 02 Reloaded picks up right where Astra Malorum’s main quest left off, continuing the narrative in a brand-new round-based map. Treyarch’s keeping details under wraps for now, but if you’ve been following the story, this should be one to watch.
Season 2 kicks off February 20th, so mark your calendars, or better yet, clear your schedule. This update’s bringing enough content to keep you busy until the mid-season drop.
