Arrowhead teases Cyberstan intel as siege of Automaton homeworld begins

Super Earth mobilizes largest offensive in galactic war history as Helldivers push toward Automaton homeworld with stolen superweapon blueprints at stake

Super Earth High Command has officially declared war on Cyberstan. The Automatons stole the blueprints for the Star of Peace superweapon, and Helldivers across the galaxy are being mobilized for the largest offensive of the Second Galactic War.

This isn’t just another planetary liberation; this is a full-scale invasion of the Automaton homeworld, and the stakes have never been higher.

The theft that started a war

The Automaton Collective managed to infiltrate Super Earth’s most secure databases and steal complete schematics for the Star of Peace, an orbital installation capable of turning entire planets into black holes.

High Command confirmed the theft with concrete proof following Operation Information Reclamation, which despite failing its primary objectives, somehow located the stolen files on Clasa sitting “open and unencrypted” near a SEAF extraction zone.

Convenient? Absolutely. Believable? That’s classified.

According to intercepted intelligence, surveillance of Cyberstan’s atmosphere shows massive pollution levels indicating the construction of large-scale industrial facilities.

The Ministry of Truth believes the machines are building their own version of the Star of Peace, not as a defensive tool, but as a weapon of mass destruction. Super Earth cannot allow this symbol of peace to become an instrument of socialist terror.

Operation Valid Pretext: The march to Cyberstan

The campaign officially launched February 3 with Operation Valid Pretext, requiring Helldivers to secure either Aurora Bay or Merak as strategic launch points for the final assault on Cyberstan.

Unlike previous Major Orders, this operation comes with a brutal twist: a global pool of 200 million reinforcements shared across all players. If the community burns through this limit before liberating Cyberstan, the entire operation fails canonically. Every death counts. Every mission matters.

As of today, tens of thousands of Helldivers are fighting to liberate Chort Bay, now just two planets away from the Automaton stronghold that’s been unreachable for the first two years of the war.

Helldivers 2 drops Bastion Tank as update 6.0.0 kicks off assault on New Cyberstan

The Bastion Tank, a direct evolution of the TD-110 from the First Galactic War, has been deployed to support the offensive. Armed with a 120mm main battle cannon and a coaxial heavy machine gun, the TD-220 Bastion requires a four-person crew, driver, gunner, and two supporting seats, allowing entire squads to ride together into battle spreading Managed Democracy.

The timing of this assault is no coincidence. Helldivers 2 celebrates its second anniversary on February 8, right in the middle of the current Major Order.

Arrowhead Game Studios has historically pulled out massive surprises for milestone events, and with dataminers discovering hidden Cyborg enemy types in the game files, including the terrifying Vox Engine boss, many believe the invasion of Cyberstan will trigger the return of the Cyborgs, the original creators of the Automatons and primary antagonists of the first Helldivers.
