AMD sweetens 9850X3D launch with All-in-One bundle

AMD teams up with Cooler Master and V-Color to offer a complete gaming upgrade package as DDR5 prices remain sky-high

AMD is rolling out the Ryzen 7 9850X3D on January 29 and the company isn’t doing it alone. In partnership with Cooler Master and V-Color, Team Red is preparing a complete hardware bundle targeting gamers who want to skip the hassle of piecing together a new build.

The package includes the gaming CPU, 32GB of DDR5 memory, and a cooling solution, all in one box.

The bundle surfaced through Chinese social media platform Bilibili, revealing the collaboration between AMD, Cooler Master, and V-Color.

While the move appears focused on the Chinese market initially, it signals AMD’s awareness of the current memory crisis pushing DDR5 prices to uncomfortable levels.

By offering a ready-to-go kit, they’re easing the financial hit for builders who’d otherwise shop piecemeal during this turbulent hardware period.

What’s inside the bundle

The kit packs the Ryzen 7 9850X3D, AMD’s latest X3D chip featuring 8 Zen 5 cores, 104MB of 3D V-Cache, and a boosted 5.6 GHz clock speed.

That’s a significant 400 MHz jump over the 9800X3D’s 5.2 GHz max boost, positioning it as the world’s fastest gaming processor according to AMD’s internal benchmarks showing up to 27% better performance than Intel’s Core Ultra 9 285K across 35 games.

The memory component comes from V-Color: a dual-channel 32GB DDR5 kit (2x16GB modules) sporting white heatspreaders with RGB lighting.

Exact speeds haven’t been confirmed, though AMD’s testing shows less than 1% FPS difference between DDR5-4800 and DDR5-6000 thanks to the second-gen 3D V-Cache tech, meaning you don’t need to chase expensive high-frequency kits.

Rounding out the package is Cooler Master’s Hyper 612 Apex Pro, a dual-tower air cooler in white designed to handle the 9850X3D’s 120W TDP without breaking a sweat.

Timing and availability

The bundle arrives as memory prices remain elevated globally, making the all-in-one approach potentially more palatable than buying components separately.

The 9850X3D alone carries a $499 MSRP, while similar V-Color DDR5 kits hover around $500-plus on retailers like Newegg, and the Cooler Master cooler runs roughly $80.

Bundle pricing hasn’t been announced, but the combined retail value easily exceeds $1,000.

Whether this offering expands beyond China remains unclear, though AMD’s strategy addresses a real pain point for gamers building or upgrading during these price-volatile times.

The 9850X3D launches January 29, compatible with existing AM5 motherboards via BIOS updates.
