Konami announced on March 25, 2026, through the official Silent Hill social media accounts, that Silent Hill f will receive a manga adaptation. The announcement was made to celebrate the game’s six-month anniversary since its launch on September 25, 2025. And the best part isn’t just that it’s getting a manga, it’s that the manga will feature a completely new ending that doesn’t exist anywhere in the game.
The news was shared via the official Silent Hill Japanese account on X, where Konami confirmed that the adaptation will be serialized on Young Ace UP, a free digital manga reading platform. No release date for the first volume has been announced yet, but the manga is confirmed to be coming this year.
Ryukishi07 returns to write a sixth ending for Hinako’s story
The writer behind the original Silent Hill f game, Ryukishi07, will also be writing the manga’s narrative, including the brand new ending. This means Silent Hill f will officially have six possible endings: the five already available in the game, plus one exclusive to the manga.
Ryukishi07 is the mind behind the horror visual novel Higurashi When They Cry, and was chosen by Konami specifically for his ability to combine psychological horror with complex mystery storytelling. His work on Silent Hill f was one of the most praised aspects of the game, a layered narrative about identity, expectations, and what 1960s Japanese society demanded of young women, wrapped in Silent Hill’s signature dread.
The artist illustrating the manga will be Ame Gokin. In the first piece of artwork shared alongside the announcement, protagonist Hinako Shimizu is shown holding red spider lilies, flowers that in Japanese culture symbolize death. That single image sets the tone very clearly for what’s coming.

Whether Ryukishi07’s new ending will offer a more hopeful conclusion for Hinako or push her story into even darker territory is unknown for now. Either way, the fact that the original writer is personally crafting it makes this one of the most compelling expansions the franchise has seen in years.
What you need to know about Silent Hill f
Silent Hill f launched on September 25, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store. The game was developed by NeoBards Entertainment, published by Konami, and is a standalone spin-off set in the fictional Japanese town of Ebisugaoka during the 1960s. Players control Hinako Shimizu, a high school student who must navigate her fog-consumed hometown, solve puzzles, and fight grotesque monsters to survive.
The game sold over one million copies on its first day of launch, making it the fastest-selling entry in the history of the franchise. It received generally favorable reviews, with 87% of critics on OpenCritic recommending it. It also swept The Horror Game Awards 2025, taking home four awards including Game of the Year, Best Narrative, Technical Achievement, and Best Performance for lead actress Konatsu Kato.
Unlike previous Silent Hill games, Silent Hill f completely removes firearms from the gameplay, focusing on melee combat and a more action-oriented approach. Its story stands out for featuring a protagonist who, as Ryukishi07 himself stated, actively makes her own choices rather than being pulled along by events, a deliberate departure from how female characters had been handled in previous entries in the series.
The game already features five different endings, all of which can only be unlocked across multiple playthroughs. Each one reveals a different layer of Hinako’s psychology and her relationship with the world around her. The manga’s sixth ending adds yet another possible fate for a character whose story clearly still has more to tell.
An official novelization of the game, written by Shiro Kuro and published by Kadokawa, was also released in October 2025.
Konami has no plans to slow down with Silent Hill
The manga is just the latest piece of a very active revival Konami has been building for this franchise. The Silent Hill 2 remake, developed by Bloober Team, launched in October 2024. Silent Hill f followed in September 2025. And this year, Silent Hill Townfall, developed by Screen Burn Interactive and co-published by Konami and Annapurna Interactive, is set to launch for PS5 and PC.
On top of that, Bloober Team has officially confirmed that a remake of the original Silent Hill is currently in full production, with reports pointing to a potential 2027 release if Konami’s current annual pace holds.
Producer Motoi Okamoto has stated publicly that he wants Konami to release approximately one Silent Hill game per year, with a focus on reaching a global audience. Looking at the schedule they’ve maintained since 2024, that goal is well on its way to becoming a reality.
With a manga expanding Hinako’s story, a novelization already out, and more games confirmed in development, it’s clear Konami sees Silent Hill f as more than just a one-and-done release. Ryukishi07 apparently still has things to say about what happened in Ebisugaoka, and fans are going to want to find out what that sixth ending looks like.
